Meet Our Team
All of the above are members of the Board for the YARD non-profit, with the exception of Brian Dailey who serves as the Executive Director. YARD was established in 2021 and is registered as a 501c3 organization.
Mack Strong
Mack has been working as the Pacific West Director of the Legends Program for the National Football League since 2013. He played for the Seattle Seahawks as a fullback for 14+ years from 1993 to 2007. Mack has received numerous awards and accolades for both his on the field accomplishments and his off the field endeavors. Mack and his wife, Zoe, led their own non-profit for 20 years helping kids to develop Strong Minds, Strong Bodies, and Strong Character. The non-profit was called the Mack Strong TEAM-WORKS Academy. Helping kids is their passion!
Allison Melchert
Allison is the Finance Director for Swedish Medical Center Foundation in Seattle, WA, with nearly 30 years of experience in finance and accounting within non-profits and professional service organizations. Growing up, she dreamed of playing basketball in the WNBA and had the privilege of playing in college; coaching her younger sisters in basketball and volleyball was always a rewarding experience as well. Allison is excited about the potential of YARD to share her passion for sports with students of all ages. She believes it will provide a much-needed outlet for fostering skills and safety in the Palouse region (and she's right!).
Marty Northcroft
Marty has more than 20 years of sports marketing experience, including time with the Seattle Mariners, Washington State University, University of Oklahoma, University of Virginia, University of Idaho, and Gonzaga University. While at WSU, he and his team increased football ticket revenue by $3.2 million over a five-year period and increased football attendance from 89% of capacity to 97% of capacity. He and his wife, TyAnne, have three children: Maya (9) Brayden (14) and Caleb (18).
Torino DeGuzman
Originally from Bellevue, Washington, his first two forays into the civilian sector were working as a Facilities Manager for Amazon Fresh and with Facilities Services with the US Army Corps of Engineers. He graduated from Central Washington University with a BS in Aviation Maintenance Management. In May of 2022, he joined the Washington State University's Veterans Center team as a school certifying officer.Until Aug 2024 I hope this works
Brian Dailey
Brian grew up in Sammamish, WA before attending the University of Missouri as a student-athlete and later becoming an assistant basketball coach for Quin Snyder. He married Katie in 2007 and they moved to Palestine, where he played professionally for the Qalandia Dark Horse. After returning to Washington State, working in tech, and coaching at the high school level, Brian and Katie led a small team that planted the Palouse Church of Christ in Pullman, WA. He is the result of amazing coaches, teammates, and mentors in sports and life. The motivation behind creating and building YARD was to give others an experience that inspires them to help others down the line.
Patrick Muller
Pat moved to Pullman, Washington in July 2016. In March of 2017, he was hired as a job developer and trainer by Boost Collaborative, a non-profit job developer for adults with disabilities. He retired after 4 1/2 years there. Pat joined the board of directors in early 2022 and is currently the board president. He has been on the board at YARD since late 2023.
